HOUSE is an eroded wooden cube made of stacked underlayment wood, supported by three tree pillars growing through the structure. Handmade by Daan Roosegaarde during his art academy period, the piece reflects his early exploration of the relationship between nature and architecture.

The integration of natural elements with man-made materials highlights the contrast and harmony between the organic and the constructed. The stacking of wood mirrors urban construction, while the tree pillars connect it to the natural world.

In 2002, Rabobank acquired artwork HOUSE for their art collection.

2002, Enschede, NL. Wood and trees; 120x120x200 cm (lxwxh).

HOUSE is part of the Rabobank art collection.
