SUSTAINABLE DANCE FLOOR

Dance floor generates electricity from dancing.

21

SUSTAINABLE DANCE FLOOR is the interactive dance floor that generates electricity through dancing.

Sustainable Dance Floor

SUSTAINABLE DANCE FLOOR is an energy-generating flooring system that produces up to 25 watts per module. The energy generated by dancers' movements powers the lighting and DJ booth, creating a self-sustaining environment. This innovative concept transforms dancing into an active contribution to the event's energy needs, blending fun with environmental awareness.

Originally designed by Studio Roosegaarde for the WATT club in Rotterdam, Daan Roosegaarde’s vision of sustainability focuses on doing more with available resources. The interactive floor engages people directly, making them an essential part of the sustainable experience and fostering a deeper connection with the environment.

SUSTAINABLE DANCE FLOOR demonstrates how technology can enhance entertainment while promoting ecological responsibility. By actively involving participants, it shows how innovation can inspire environmental consciousness.

The impact of this floor has reached global stages, including Coldplay concerts, where it continues to engage audiences and highlight the importance of sustainability in the entertainment industry.
